Favourite music from DJ Daniel

I am asked incredibly often what my favourite music is. I listen to a lot of music myself and a broad spectrum. As a DJ, I am therefore attracted to different styles. So this question is very difficult to answer.

As I am a self-confessed «open format DJ», I have a wide range of music, very wide indeed. That involves a lot of time and effort. As a DJ, you have to immerse yourself deeply in the music and deal intensively with the individual genres. This involves listening to and downloading new music, as well as regularly removing songs I don't need from the hard disc. I'm always discovering new favourite songs in the process. For me as a DJ, it's important to know my music collection inside out so that I can react quickly at every party.

I personally like most of my music collection, so I'm happy to admit that I like many different styles. It's satisfying for me as a DJ when I've invested many hours in finding the perfect songs and the audience at the party gives me lots of love in return. It doesn't matter which song. I often change styles several times a night anyway - especially at weddings and corporate events. Nevertheless, I make it known what my favourite styles are:

House (especially Disco House, French House, Future House), Afro Beats, Pop Dance, EDM, Electro Swing, Reggaeton, 70s&80s Disco, Brazil, Global Beats.

DJ Daniel's secret mixes...

I will regularly publish mixes on this blog. These will also include styles that I might rarely play at a party. Since I'm regularly in the studio as a DJ, I mix often and will regularly share my mixes with you on this page.

The first mix I'm publishing here is a reggaeton mix, a mix with lots of reggaeton classics. Personally, I particularly like the old reggaeton (so-called street reggaeton or ghetto reggaeton). Not least because I spent a lot of time in Latin America myself, where reggaeton is omnipresent at parties. I love to play reggaeton when the party crowd is ready for it!

If you like reggaeton, you should listen to it, if you hate reggaeton, you should stay away from it...
