DJ Daniel DJ Prices Event DJ Wedding DJ Zurich
Both Wedding DJ rates as well as the Costs of hiring an Event DJ in Switzerland range between CHF 950 and CHF 1,950. The DJ rates depend on the following factors:

  • the duration and end time of the event / attendance time of the DJ
  • the selected date (weekend / low or high season)
  • the size and accessibility of the location
  • the required technology (music and lighting equipment)
  • Distance of the event from Zurich
  • preparation time for music selection and coordination

My quotes are tailored individually to each event and therefore I can only give a guide price at this point.

My Average price for a performance at a wedding in Zurich is 1,600 CHF. This price includes music equipment as well as lighting effects and includes my DJ service for the whole evening.

Important for the bride and groom to know: My wedding DJ prices are always «all inclusive» for the full evening with no hidden costs or additional expenses for extra hours. If a  Company event or a Birthday party requires a similar amount of work on my part, then the price range is comparable.

How much does a wedding DJ cost and what are standard market DJ prices for weddings?

Most couples choose a Saturday evening during the summer months. Let’s take a wedding in the Zurich area as an example. In more than 90% of cases, I bring all the equipment (speakers, DJ controller, and lighting effects). The following services are, of course, included in the wedding DJ rates:

  • Attendance time incl. set-up and dismantling of the equipment from 4 pm to 3 am — a total of 11 hours.
  • Background music during the meal
  • Seamless transition to the best party sound
  • Party up to 2 or 3 o'clock
  • No extra charges, if the event runs longer than agreed
  • Wireless microphone for games and guest speeches
  • Return journey included in the price
  • Costs for preparations and clarifications
Based on the points outlined above, I charge between CHF 1,500 and CHF 1,850 for my services.. Do you want to know exactly? Get in touch with me by filling out this Quotation form. I will get back to you immediately with a non-binding offer.

By the way: If you are looking for your DJ for an event or company party, you are welcome to contact me as a Event DJ book.

When is it cheaper to book a DJ for the wedding?

The following factors can help reduce wedding DJ prices:

  • A complete DJ-compatible system is already available on site (ideally with a light show).
  • Finish early (e.g. midnight), which is often the case in open-air venues.
  • Low season and parties during the week are also usually a little cheaper.
  • Birthday parties are often cheaper, as my expenses are usually lower.

Please feel free to enquire about my services as Birthday DJ .

When does hiring a wedding DJ involve higher costs?

There are a number of circumstances that lead to additional costs and drive up wedding DJ prices:

  • Long journeys, possibly involving an overnight stay
  • Musical accompaniment by the wedding DJ for ceremonies or afternoon drinks receptions.
  • Music needs to be played in several rooms. Either the DJ works with multiple sound systems or has to set up and dismantle the equipment several times.
  • Open-ended parties lasting into the early hours of the morning.

Why are professional DJs’ fees higher than those of amateur DJs?

DJ Daniel the professional event DJ and wedding DJ from Zurich
I worked as a full-time DJ for 10 years. These days, I work as a Professional DJ on a part-time basis, as I’ve returned to a 70% role alongside my DJ work. There are significant differences compared to an amateur DJ who only plays for friends and family on the odd occasion.

The following points explain to the bride and groom why the wedding DJ prices of a hobby DJ are a fraction of professional DJs:

  • Modern and top-quality Music and lighting equipment in various sizes.
  • Replacement equipment and replacement laptop.
  • My Light show is synchronised to the rhythm (BPM).
  • Regular gigs at weddings, corporate events, birthday parties and clubs.
  • Extensive expertise built up over many years with a broad repertoire of music and a feeling for when which song is right to get the guests going.
  • Intensive preparation before every event.
  • Contractual security..
  • Large DJ network to provide adequate replacements in the event of an emergency.
  • Self-employed: My DJ earnings are taxed and subject to National Insurance contributions.

If you want your guests to talk about the best party of their lives , the expense of a professional DJ is well worth it. The easiest way is to request a no-obligation Offer .
