Where should we say "I do"? As Wedding DJ from Zurich with more than 300 weddings I have some Wedding venues in Zurich and the whole of Switzerland to get married and help you answer this question.

Location for weddings in the city of Zurich: My favourites
First of all, I present my favourite locations for getting married in the city of Zurich. Some of them are also first-class restaurants or offer a cultural programme. I personally like to have special venues and they don't necessarily have to be classic and romantic wedding halls. These are My favourite locations in the city of Zurich:

Giesserei Oerlikon: Industrial chic with top service
The Foundry in Oerlikon with its post-industrial charm is one of the most exciting wedding venues in Zurich and the whole of Switzerland and is exactly my style. Old steel pipes still hang in the rooms, which combined with the high factory windows and modern lounge elements create a unique atmosphere - ideal for unforgettable and exclusive vintage weddings.
There are two main rooms available for weddings: «Foundry classic» (capacity up to 140 guests) with the combinable rooms «Cynar Room» for dinner and the adjoining fireplace room for the following party. The opposite «Workshop», which, in addition to the industrial crane room, boasts an 8 metre long modern bar and lounge and can cater for up to 80 guests.
The Giesserei team is extremely experienced: The service is highly professional and the cuisine sets high standards. As the Giesserei is not a typical summer venue, it is also ideal as a first-class wedding location in Zurich outside the summer months or as a wedding reception venue. High-quality event location for company celebrations.
I have hung up over 30 times in the foundry, almost 10 times as a Event DJ and about 20 times as a wedding DJ. Anyone who prefers industrial chic to a classic wedding venue in Zurich will get their money's worth at the Giesserei.

Barefoot bar Zurich: Open-air wedding on Lake Zurich
The barefoot bar in Zurich with breathtaking lake location is one of the most beautiful summer locations in Zurich. The party takes place in the open air on wooden planks directly over the water. It is an indescribable feeling to dance barefoot on the boards and smell the lake. While the venue is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, it can be hired as a Zurich wedding venue or for other events on the other days.
As the pool is open during the day and everything takes place outside, partying is only permitted between 8pm and 11pm. So it's worth having a warm drink beforehand... Otherwise, the pretty bar staff behind the brightly lit bar can serve excellently prepared drinks. Incidentally, the young staff at the Barfussbar are highly efficient and speedy. The aperitif, the food and the party are all organised without any problems during these three hours.
I've been able to experience many wild parties at the Barfussbar in all kinds of weather and have DJ'd there 19 times. If you're looking for a unique open-air location to get married and celebrate in Zurich and don't want to party until the early hours of the morning, this is the place for you.

Bogen F: Modern concert hall with a club atmosphere
The Bogen F concert and event venue is located in one of the arches in the urban Viadukt, not far from Hardbrücke railway station. The rustic masonry gives the space a unique atmosphere and is suitable for bridal couples looking for an unconventional wedding location in Zurich with a unique atmosphere. Club ambience Keep an eye out. The fixed music and lighting system is included in the price and the hall is suitable for a maximum of 100 people.
The Bogen F works together with neighbouring restaurants and offers a wide range of catering options. The urban open-air area in front of the Bogen F is a stone's throw away from the Hive Club and is very suitable for aperitifs. In addition to weddings, this event hall is also suitable for company celebrations or birthday parties and I have also worked there as an event DJ or Birthday DJ on.

The Waid: Breathtaking views combined with excellent service
The restaurant «Die Waid» is known throughout the city for its Spectacular view over the city of Zurich. But «Die Waid» has other trump cards up its sleeve. There are two excellent dining restaurants with variable menus and the two rooms «Das grosse Jahreszeiten Restaurant» or «Der Rote Saal», both with adjoining terraces, are ideal as elegant Zurich wedding venues. For a larger wedding party, the halls can be combined. Although I have already played in both rooms, «Der Rote Saal» is better suited as a dance floor.
For me, the greatest asset of «Der Waid» is its young and long-standing staff, who charismatically focus on the satisfaction of their (wedding) guests. Bridal couples looking for an elegant location with a relaxed atmosphere should definitely take a look at «Der Waid».

Daizy: Urban and friendly event hall
Daizy is at home in the Binz and is a very professional Zurich wedding location and praises itself with its healthy cuisine. The multifunctional event hall can be used in many different ways and is the perfect size for a private party. With a full extension, large weddings can also be organised, but even with a small celebration, the hall never looks too big. A big advantage of the Daizy is a really good music system that can be used by the wedding party.
What I particularly like is the informal service provided by its young staff. All guests will inevitably feel welcome. Although the location is not a typical summer venue, a terrace can be used. chez Smith: Urban, hip and young
Celebrate in style! The urban restaurant and wine bar «chez Smith» (formerly Smith and the luma) is renowned for the quality of its food. Wine lovers are also catered for thanks to the restaurant's own wine shop and wine bar. The friendly bartenders behind the bar provide good cocktails.
The «chez Smith» scores highly for its Versatility in event planning and its urban space. There are various rooms that can be considered as first-class Zurich wedding venues. First and foremost are the two rooms in the Gallery, which are connected by a high-quality music system suitable for DJs. One floor below is the «Printers» and this room is perfect for a wild party due to its size.
I've also been to «chez Smith» as an event DJ or birthday DJ committed and appreciate their service and the motivated young employees very.

Wedding location on Lake Zurich
Restaurants or hotels near the lake are naturally very popular for weddings. Around the city of Zurich there are some great Zurich wedding venues in the immediate vicinity of the city directly on Lake Zurich. A few individual locations are a little further away, but I will list them anyway.

Seehotel Sonne Küsnacht: Romance in a romantic ballroom
The Sonne in Küsnacht has one of my absolute favourite wedding venues in Zurich and the whole of Switzerland. The 4-star superior hotel and its idyllic garden restaurant with traditional menus is just 5 minutes away from my home and therefore practically connected to the city of Zurich.
The hotel is perfect for weddings: Directly on the shore of Lake Zurich is the dreamlike garden location for the wedding aperitif (including the boat landing stage). The evening programme takes place in the historic ballroom, which can accommodate up to 110 guests. The candlelit hall with its large chandelier and tastefully painted ceilings is one of Zurich's most romantic wedding venues. The Sonne also scores with its first-class culinary offer and its motivated staff. Another major advantage is that the bridal couple and their wedding guests can stay overnight in one of the 40 hotel rooms.
I have already stayed at the Sonne 14 times and can recommend it to any bridal couple looking for a romantic wedding venue in Zurich.

Moschti Stäfa: Event location with a marvellous garden
The enchanting Moschti in Stäfa is located on the same side of the lake as the sun. Unlike most of the other venues listed, the Moschti is a pure event location with its own catering and professional service team. The Moschti is situated on a terraced level, surrounded by trees and vines with View of the magnificent Lake Zurich. It is precisely this large, romantic park that is the real highlight and makes the Moschti a top wedding location in the Zurich area.
I recommend every bridal couple to use the garden for the wedding ceremony, aperitifs and/or dinner. If the weather doesn't play ball, the indoor rooms are also perfect for an unforgettable celebration.
The Moschti is perfect for wedding parties of 60 to 100 people. A big plus point compared to other wedding venues in Zurich is the powerful music system that can be used.

Marina Lachen: wonderful location right on the harbour
Marina Lachen is about as far away from Zurich as the Moschti, just on the opposite side of the lake. I have been a regular guest at Marina Lachen since 2012 as a Wedding DJ and know the restaurant very well. Your Location near the harbour in Lachen SZ and the varied catering offer make Marina Lachen a top address and, thanks to years of experience, a first-class wedding location on Lake Zurich. Not only the location directly on Lake Zurich with its huge park, but also the proximity to the registry office and the romantic boutique hotel with its stylish rooms are big plus points for getting married here.
Weddings are usually held in the combined Lago and Monte rooms, which offer enough space for parties of up to 100 guests. The Light-flooded hall is very elegant and the ceilings reflect the waves of Lake Zurich and the sunset is unforgettable. If you want to get married in this region, you must consider the Marina Lachen. Incidentally, Marina Lachen offers attractive discounts for weddings on Fridays...

L'O in Horgen: a few millimetres from Lake Zurich...
Not only the name is unique, but also its location. The L'O lakeside restaurant in Horgen borders Lake Zurich with millimetre precision and thus offers a picturesque backdrop for an exclusive wedding celebration. Whether on the spacious terrace or in the romantic restaurant, the L'O radiates elegance. With a capacity of up to 100 guests, it can also cater for large parties.
Despite its large lakeside terrace, the L'O is an excellent indoor wedding venue. The large interior with its small partition is ideal for a party. Its culinary excellence and excitingly presented wine list guarantee a gastronomic experience. So far, I have had the honour of setting the tone three times at this wonderful location and hope to be there again soon.

Boldern in Männedorf
The Hotel Boldern is an excellent wedding location in the Zurich area. This place is ideal for weddings because Ceremony, aperitif, meal and party at the same location can take place. With its 59 rooms, the hotel also offers plenty of opportunities to sober up. The large park with a view of Lake Zurich is the perfect place for a romantic outdoor ceremony. The Lyria ballroom is ideal for dining and partying. This is directly adjacent to the garden and can accommodate 80 guests. Thanks to large windows, it is flooded with sunlight and the panoramic view of Lake Zurich is a feast for the eyes. The size and character of this room make it the perfect wedding venue.
Although I have only been able to DJ at Hotel Boldern once so far, this Zurich wedding venue has left a lasting impression.

Sorell Hotel Zürichberg: Above the rooftops of Zurich
I have a long-standing friendship with the Hotel Zürichberg and between 2006 and 2011 I was even resident DJ in the beautiful hotel bar. Since 2009 I've also been a regular DJ there. Wedding DJ in use.
In addition to its stylish bar, the 4-star hotel has a lounge with a spacious terrace and a first-class restaurant with changing menus on the lower floor. The highlight for weddings, however, is the panoramic view over the city of Zurich. Because of this idyllic backdrop, I recommend every bridal couple to hold their aperitif and even the wedding ceremony in the picturesque garden area.
For the wedding dinner and after-party, Zurich wedding venues include Kursaal 1 with a capacity of 60 guests and Kursaal 2 with a capacity of 40 guests. Each of these rooms is a first-class wedding venue. Both can be booked individually or even better as a combination. Getting married in a Zurich guild house
In the city of Zurich there are several Guild houses which can also be used as Zurich wedding venues. Anyone who gets married in a guild house will have an unforgettable wedding. Fairytale wedding celebrate in a romantic ambience. Whether in the Zunfthaus zur Schmiden (up to 130 guests), in the Zimmerleuten guild house (up to 200 guests), in the Guildhall zur Meisen (up to 180 guests) or in the Saffran guild houseEach of these rooms has its own charm. What they all have in common is the impeccable service and the traditional menu selection for the wedding dinner. The historic rooms can also be used for weddings and ceremonies.
As the guild houses are located in Zurich's old town, there are no parking spaces. This is also a small disadvantage for me as a DJ and unloading the music system is quite time-consuming. Nevertheless, I always enjoy being in a guild house.
Getting married in a rustic setting
There are some forest huts or country houses in Switzerland that are also used for weddings. In my opinion, however, very few of them are suitable for weddings. Most of them are better suited to birthday parties. For me, however, there is one exception that I absolutely have to mention:
Am Charrewäg: In the countryside with top service
If you would like to get married in a rustic country house, you can't avoid the wedding location «At the Charrewäg» in Illnau. The romantic rose garden with its many small seating niches offers a very romantic ambience. The aperitif will take place there with delicious homemade syrups. The generous barbecue buffet is also set up in the garden. Dining and partying take place in the two barns. Of course, weddings and ceremonies can also be held in the garden.
The all-rounder and lateral thinker Kaspar Kuhn is one of the most talented event managers I know. He thinks of every detail. The «Am Charrewäg» venue also has one of the best music systems I've ever seen. I really enjoy working there and am already looking forward to my next gig.
