I am an experienced «open format DJ». Which means nothing other than I play a wide variety of music.
As DJ Daniel, I regularly play in clubs in Zurich and throughout Switzerland. Sometimes I call myself DJ Daniel but often you'll find me as DJ Doc Brown.
At the moment, 2000s parties have a huge following. Many clubs organise such parties. In the noughties, the music was quite «club-orientated» and more developed than in the 90s.
I was already active as a DJ myself in that decade. So it's easy for me to access the different genres.
Personally, I really enjoy DJing in this decade. Because, as already mentioned, it's much more club-orientated and therefore exciting for us DJs.
The music spectrum is also very broad in this decade. In addition to a lot of hip-hop and house, reggaeton and Latin pop became big in this decade. There are also many dance pop gems that are still very popular.
I regularly play at 90ies parties. I am travelling all over Switzerland as a DJ but mostly in the Zurich area.
The 90s is my decade. After all, I discovered going out and its music myself back then. Accordingly, my range of music is very broad. I also personally find it an exciting decade.
For a long time, the so-called «Bravo Hits Parties» were the measure of all things. In the meantime, most have distanced themselves from this term.
Musically, however, nothing has changed. The audience still expects the big hits. So everything from Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls to Dr Alban and Dr Dre is played. I usually play the whole spectrum from hip-hop to house to Eurodance and rock at a 90s party.
